Design Act, the International Design Festival has been held on September 8-11, 2011 in Moscow, in Gorky Park. This year was the 5th season of the festival. Over 200 000 people have already been there. Now it’s your turn to come and join this global event!
DESIGN ACT, the International Design Festival, started in Moscow in August 2007.
DESIGN ACT was necessitated by the time itself. Our people get richer, and now they want to have elegant objects in their lives, not only living essentials as before.
The success of DESIGN ACT shows that we have a real chance to develop needs, and even more, to set demands for the industrial design.
In five years DESIGN ACT has become a popular and desirable event in the culture life of Moscow, gaining ever-growing interest.
The festival had over 200 000 visitors, more than 100 personal exhibitions of Russian and foreign designers, above 70 lectures, and 10 000 and more cool things sold at DESIGN MARKET.
Today, facing the 5th DESIGN ACT, we can say it now: we have managed. The International Design Festival has evolved into what we designed it to be: an environment with the high concentration of ideas where the functional tasks are solved.
People need new forms, living things; designers need grants; producers need promising projects. We tell them: “Come here and talk it over!
Our task is to create the environment for this communication. This is how we put the mission of DESIGN ACT.
