International Festival of Industrial Design DESIGN ACT (DA) 30 August - 3 September 2007.

The official opening of the international forum of industrial design DESIGN ACT (DA) took place in the Center of Contemporary Art “Winzavod”. The forum passed with the support of the Cultural Fund “Nashe Vremja”, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Committee on Culture of Moscow in the threshold of the Day of City.

DESIGN ACT is a several days long, multiformated international forum, which does not have analogs in Russia. Its purposes are the popularization of domestic industrial design and the exchange of experience with the invited European associates. The support of talented Russian designers, the formation of domestic school of industrial design and the aid to Russia, assisting its entrance into the world community, remain the main priorities of the Russian policy.

Within the forum people could see the creations of famous designers and acquire them as part of a “Design Market” trade fair. Round-tables covering the vital topics like the interaction of Russian business and industrial design were held during the forum. Russian and foreign designers, who work in large corporations, shared their experience.
